We are hiring a Certified Payroll and Compliance Specialist for a great client in Signal Hill! This is a fantastic temp to hire opportunity for a detail-oriented professional with experience in payroll processing and compliance, particularly in a union or construction environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process weekly payroll for approximately 100 employees using QuickBooks.
• Ensure full compliance with certified payroll requirements and labor standards for union contractors.
• Maintain accurate payroll and compliance records in CP reporting services.
• Manage fringe benefit reporting for various unions.
• Prepare and verify prevailing wage reports for multiple projects.
• Work closely with project managers to ensure proper documentation for compliance audits.
• Respond to payroll-related inquiries from employees, unions, and external entities.
• Conduct payroll reviews to ensure adherence to union and legal regulations.
• Assist with government-mandated compliance reporting and documentation.
• Support payroll adjustments, reconciliations, and issue resolution as needed.

Qualifications:

• Proficiency in QuickBooks is required.
• Experience with LCP Tracker is a plus.
• Prior experience processing payroll in a unionized or construction environment is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of certified payroll practices and prevailing wage requirements.
• Excellent attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills.
